An Index of the Colour of Water pairs daily photographs of the sea, taken from Christina Riley's local beach on the west coast of Scotland and pairing them with descriptions of the colour of water from amongst the books on The Nature Library’s shelves including Iris Murdoch, Kathleen Jamie, Nina Mingya Powles and Leslie Marmon Silko.

Available as a limited edition of 30 handmade pamphlets, one for each day in April, each with a unique cover and a small print of that day’s sea inside. Each book has been stitched by hand, with individually hand cut pages inside.
